This is somesort of a vague question but, I am in a third world country and I see posts on techcruch on how startups make lots of money is silicon valley. The funding literally competes with my countries national budget.
I want to build such software that gets funded. I am sort of a solo dev with full stack skills. I want to start and buy into the software as a service deal so to say but I am lost and literally broke.

Is it possible to sell software and make money? Yes, definitely.
Does being a solo dev help or hurt that? It almost certainly helps, to be honest.
Will people fund you? Probably not very much, but that's ok. You and I are not really in the "club" that receives money to build something.
Does that mean you have to build something that is so amazingly helpful people literally will seek you out to pay you for that thing? Yes
Does coming up with the right idea to implement involve suffering? Yes

Is working a job easier? Yes
Good luck!
